APPLETON – The Papermakers outscored the Lightning 16-0 in the second half to pull away for the Fox Valley Association win.

Kimberly improves to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in the FVA. Appleton North falls to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the FVA.

Maddux Hermus had a 22-yard touchdown run and also kicked a short field goal for Kimberly.

Christopher Thao sealed the victory with a 57-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

FOND DU LAC – Owen St. Clair hit Matthias Charles on a 21-yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left to lift Neenah over Fond du Lac in dramatic fashion.

The score was 20-15 with 11 seconds left when St. Clair found Charles one-on-one with a Cardinals defender in the corner of the end zone.

St. Clair had driven the Rockets 90 yards with no timeouts for the game-clinching touchdown.

Kaukauna 35, Hortonville 30

HORTONVILLE – Ryan Carrel hit Brady Schwalbach on a 9-yard touchdown pass with 26.4 seconds left to lift the Ghosts to the win over the Polar Bears.

Hortonville led 17-0 in the second quarter, but the Ghosts rallied to score five touchdowns over the second, third and fourth quarters to get the victory.

Carrel had touchdown passes to Bennett Geitner (39 yards) and Anthony Reischl (33) during that stretch along with a 2-yard touchdown run. Muhammad Jobe added a 5-yard scoring run for the Ghosts (5-2 overall, 4-1 Fox Valley Association).

AJ Pheifer had a big day for Hortonville (3-4, 2-3), scoring on a 2-yard run and also finishing with two touchdown passes to Connor Christensen (33, 21 yards) and another to Greyson Rankin (14).

APPLETON – Kingston Allen ran for 281 yards on 29 carries and scored six touchdowns in the Tritons’ win over the Bluejays at the Banta Bowl in a battle of Fox River Classic Conference-South unbeatens.

Allen scored on runs of 6, 4, 37, 10, 1 and 21 yards. Jackson Bouthilet also had a pair of touchdown passes (41, 19 yards) and ran in a score from 39 yards for the Tritons (7-0, 5-0 FRCC-South).

Menasha (5-2, 4-1) led 12-7 after the first quarter and got a 17-yard touchdown reception from Shamir Senyange and a 4-yard run from Kinley Bilke in the first quarter. Senyange had to leave the game early with an injured left ankle.

Bilke finished with two touchdown runs for the Bluejays.

APPLETON – Another week and another huge game from Fox Valley Lutheran’s Braden Heiges.

Heiges had an 8-yard touchdown run and three touchdown passes. He also had a 98-yard interception return.

FVL led 28-0 at the half.

Joona Tuominen had three catches for 62 yards, including touchdown receptions of 38 and 13 yards for the Foxes (5-2, 4-1). Weston Beyer added 98 yards rushing.

COLEMAN – Wyatt Bieber ran for 143 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Cougars’ surprising rout of Shiocton.

Bieber scored on runs of 6, 5 and 8 yards. Brady Charapata also had two touchdown runs of 6 and 51 yards. Daniel Kuchta returned a fumble 60 yards for a score as well.

Kyle Bergsbaken had 136 yards passing to lead Shiocton.
